I have worked hard on diet to control my GD. I test 6 times a day. Pre meal/fasting must be 90 or less and 1hr post meal must be under 120. I'm not perfect and have some high readings post meals but nothing consistent. Was diagnosed at 28.5 weeks and I am currently 34.5. If there is a silver lining to diabetes, it forced/motivated me to eat healthier. I have lost about 8lbs since my diagnosis and am down 1 lb pre pregnancy (fyi I was quite overweight to begin with).
That's right, there was no change from hours two-three. Pretty bad numbers according to my doctor. That was at 21 weeks, and I am nearly 39 weeks now and I have been diet controlled the whole time with only one high reading ever. So there is hope of not going on insulin no matter how horrible your three hour results are.
