I'm curious what the comments are on this story... Mom, Banned From Facebook Over Controversial Breastfeeding Photo https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/27/lauren-ferrari-banned-facebook-breastfeeding_n_1709928.html?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl2%7Csec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D185245
I am a big breastfeeding proponent.. but I think the picture is a little weird, and I don't think she should have posted. There are some whack jobs out there that would see it as child porn. I just find it odd.
I'm a huge breastfeeding supporter and fully plan to do it myself, but I really question her judgment in posting that picture. It's not a picture of breastfeeding, because the little girl isn't providing nourishment. Surely she realized that someone would take issue with it...I wouldn't personally post something like that because there are just way, way too many freaks out there.

I think it's gross and inappropriate. That child is not lactating, so she's not BFing. And that mom is an idiot for thinking posting that picture online is even remotely okay.

I follow her on FB...she is crunchy and controversial big time. While I agree with a good portion of what she believes in, sometimes I feel like she (as many others on either side of arguments) like to fight the fight.
People are facebook stupid. The picture was absolutely inappropriate. It's one thing to pretend to nurse a dolls, but don't post those on facebook either...
I think there are too many people who assume that it's perfectly fine to share anything and everything on social networking sites, and this mom is one of them.
I don't think there was anything malicious behind that photo, but I think it's common sense that you shouldn't share that with the world.
Not every moment is a Kodak moment for your social networking sites, yo.

This. I think it is also highly inappropriate and out of place when people post pictures of their kids taking a bath or using the potty on social sites. Just..why?!
I would not upload that to Facebook. That is a picture for family to see, not the whole Facebook community. I don't care how good you think your privacy settings are, once it's on the Internet it is free game. Some people just don't think.
Agree with PPs. Seriously, I wouldn't even put up the typical "naked baby" pictures on facebook because you just never know what the creeps out there will use the pictures for. This might be unpop opinion, but I hate when parents take pictures of their kids in the bath with their privates showing. It is cute but just don't do that on the internet!

Yes! Does the mom not think that could be embarrassing for the daughter in 10 years. When you post it on the internet, it is there forever. I'm sure I will take a picture of my son using the potty but I sure as hell am not going to post it on FB. I think FB had every right to take it down.
I honestly didn't even find the photo to be cute. I'm safely assuming the mother posted it without any bad intentions but some people are so naive. There are pedophiles and creeps out there who would definitely view this photo differently. I agree with pp that this is not a photo of bfing because no nourishment is bei g supplied rather it's a photo of 2 young girls being exploited by their mother for her own agenda. Keep some photos to yourself.
