morning sickness question

Hi everyone, I'm right around 6 weeks pregnant and after eating breakfast, I'm struggling with very intense stomach pains and a quesy feeling. The pains aren't in the lower abdomen, definte stomach pains...I'm assuming this is the start of the lovely morning sickness that I haven't had a whole lot of yet, I was ready for the nausea but are the extreme stomach pains normal? I had milk with breakfast and I don't usually drink a lot of milk so I'm wondering if it's a reaction to that... they aren't bad enough that I can't move around, but they hurt!!! Thanks guys..I'm just cranky about the pain I guess!

Re: morning sickness question

  • I would pay attention to the pains and the intensity of them because though the queasiness is normal, intense pains are not.

I mean unless maybe it's bad bad gas pains, but those usually start a bit later?

See if maybe eating smaller meals helps.

Also, are you taking a prenatal or any vitamin for that matter? They can be very constipating and binding, so that can cause pain, too.

    Best of luck.

  • I would test the foods first.  See if it is the milk causing the pains.  I had horrible morning sickness, with nausea and vomiting.  This happened after every meal.  If you can, talk to your OB even thought your appointment isn't for a couple more weeks.
