Lovies?

Do any of you let your LOs have them at night? My daughter loves napping with hers but I'm afraid to let her have it at night. Her night sleep has been terrible for a few months now and we need to transition her to her crib from the RNP in our room and last time we tried went awful. Last night in our room she was up close to every 20 min for 4 hrs and went down after I gave in and gave her the lovie. Not sure if it was coincidence or not.

Re: Lovies?

  • DS sleeps with a lovie.  It's a porous burp cloth, but it did make me nervous at first.  After a while, I don't even worry about it.  He needs it to sleep, and it doesn't hurt him.  I figure he's mobile enough to move it off his face if he needs to.

  • My daughter sleeps with one too.  She always holds it near her face too, which is funny because I have to sleep with a blanket covering part of my face.  It is not a full blanket, it is more like a 15 inch square with a little bunny head on top.  She is obsessed with it.  She never wraps it over her head...she just cuddles it.

  • My dd sleeps with one. It is so comforting to her and gives her the signal that it is sleep time now. It is very thin and I have no worries about using it
