Well...that was a fail

DH and I decided to tell our immediate families about the new baby right away. If something happens, we would like their support, so we just prefer it this way. 

So I texted my mom a picture of Henry in a "big brother" shirt and  said what are you doing on EDD?" 

Well she totally didn't get it. Like not at all. So I called her and told her. Her response was "were in the car on the way to dinner, I'll call you back tonight."

Way to be excited...we hoped for better luck with my MIL but she didn't even answer.

BFP # 1- DS ~ TTC #2 since Jan. 2012 - BFP # 2 - "Baby Elsie" - Blighted Ovum - D&C August 22, 2012 at 7w3d, BFP # 3 - CP - December 30, 2012, BFP # 4 - CP - March 19, 2013 ~ First RE Appt. 4/24/13 Med cycle #1: 50mg Clomid and Trigger shot = BFN. Med. Cycle #2: 6 cysts found. No meds/rest cycle. Trying on our own = BFP # 5! Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 129 Beta #3 = 94 - CP - July 2, 2013. BFP # 6! Beta#1 = 21, Beta#2 =58 Beta#3 = 134. U/S shows heartbeat of 142 at 7w2d!

    :(  I'm sorry.  That has got to be disappointing.  Hopefully during dinner, the news will really sink in and she'll be more excited by then.

    Aw, I'm sorry Hen. That sounds like a really cute way to announce it! Hopefully she was just having a space cadet moment and doesn't realize what's going on.

    I'm sorry that your announcement didn't go as expected. Your idea was super cute though. And like pp said, I'm sure they will be super excited once it sinks in:)

    Aw, I'm sorry.  But if it makes you feel any better, my mom would have no idea what EDD meant, and she'd have to take out her reading glasses in order to read writing on a pic I sent by text, so she probably just had no idea what you meant and will call you later and then feel like a total idiot. ;-)
