Looking for gift suggestions

Hi-

I have a shower next week and have already gotten a couple small gifts for my friend. I was thinking about also putting together a hospital survival kit for her as well.

It's only been a little over a year and a half but I am suffering from amnesia. What should I put in there? Maybe chapstick, snacks, a magazine...

And then I was thinking of maybe whipping this up too.

Is this a weird thing to bring to a shower as a guest? I'm not involved in the shower planning.


Any suggestions would help, thanks!

    I love those kind of gifts. Soft socks, maybe gift certificate to a woman's store that has underwear n pjs. Travel size toleterires.

    Someone bought me a "baby briefcase". It's a small plastic file holder with a handle. Inside it has 6 folders - birth certificate/social security card, insurance, thank you note tracker, immunizations/vaccines, child care search, pediatrician visits and healthcare receipts. Then there are a few extra folders for whatever I want to put in there. I don't know where she got the gift for me but you could easily go to staples and get the supplies to make it yourself. It was very helpful at the hospital because everyone gives you tons of papers. Then we brought it to our first doctors visit. The pediatrician was impressed at how organized we were.
