We went public today! Also scheduled 3D/4D Ultrasound

Today we had an ultrasound and we are 12 weeks 5 days. Everything looks good and healthy so we decided to tell the world (Facebook) this morning! We have had an overwhelming response to the news so far.

I also scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound with an outside company for gender determination on August 18th since my next OB appointment that I could get in on was the 27th and they may or may not tell me the gender at that time (they typically do it at 20 weeks in my office). I am so impatient about waiting to find out what the sex is I could scream!! My husband thinks I am crazy and I should just wait the extra two weeks but I say NO WAY Jose!!

Anyone else doing a one off ultrasound to try and find out what you are having early??

I will wait closest to the 20 weeks as I can so that the predication that they give is more accurate because we are hoping for a girl

It sucks waiting but I don't want to buy stuff just to have to return it.

I didn't find out until 22w with DD # 1, and not until 28w with DD # 2. Hoping to know @ my 16w scan with these two. Depends on whether they cooperate. Baby A is down below Baby B on a different depth plane, so here's hoping we can ID them both lol

Congrats on going FBO!!! We did the same this week, I was nervous, but all the wonderful responses felt great. I think we are going to wait till the 20 week ultrasound. That's only 8 short weeks, time seems to be going by so fast to me! But I totally get wanting to know as soon as you can

It would be neat to see the baby in 3d/4d anyways.

Congratulations! We had our second appointment today we saw and heard the heart beat so we went public too! We are 11w1d. Our 4d ultrasound is on August 18 as well! I can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or girl!

Yay!! We will have to stay in touch and see if we found out and if our predictions were right.

Congrats!

I scheduled an ultrasound to find out a week from tomorrow (I will be 16 weeks then). I'm so excited. And the pregnancy spa where we are having the ultrasound is right next to a buy buy baby, so I am going shopping immediately after. Glad I'm not alone on the impatience!!!

They said they won't guess at the sex. If they're not sure, they'll just schedule another one a week later. I don't care because it just means I get to see the baby more.

Congrats! I wish I could find out that soon. For us, it's really just a matter of if I can put the boxes of old clothes in DS' room into storage or if I should keep them out (and I hate clutter!). We won't find out until 19 weeks, but at least that's one week early!

We went FB public yesterday and had a great response to our new. I was very happy that others were happy. We have met some resistance from family members so I was happy to know that it was not going to be like that with other family members and our friends.

I made my gender ultrasound appointment today for the 1st of September. I am very anxious to know what we are having so I can start buying things and planning the nursery. I figured I would rather know 4 weeks before my doctor will tell me

You are totally on my wavelength! I go in for my next appt at 14 weeks and then the next one will be at 18 weeks I'm pretty sure they will wait for gender determination until the appointment after that at 22 weeks and I just can't wait that long so I want to schedule a 3D offsite somewhere too....thank you for not making me think I'm crazily mpatient all by myself!

I don't think you are crazy at all I am totally where you are! I am too impatient! My appointments are set just like yours are and I can't wait till 22 weeks. I am dying to know what i am able to shop for and also to pick out a name for our lil one

We'll probably go do an u/s on our own. Last time we did at 17 weeks because we weren't sure if DH would be able to make it to the a/s. He ended up not being able to come so thankfully we did the 3d/4d on our own.
