  That is usually how the opening ceremonies start--a performance that gives the history of the location it is being held. I enjoyed it.

  It was okay but I thought some parts dragged on for too long, and I'm a British history buff!  I have no clue what TV show they were referring to in the 2012 bit, or was that even what they were doing?  The only part I really enjoyed was seeing Mr. Bean.

  I loved it.  I felt so much emotion from the music. (Especially up until right before the Queen was introduced).

  I thought it was lame....especially compared to the Beijing opening ceremony.  I was particularly annoyed watching them change into the industrial revolution.  I got a laugh out of Mr. Bean and there were some nice parts where they had children singing, but other than that....blah.
