Someone stop me!!! (Cravings)

So on top of my recent bleeding scare, which seems to have ceased for the moment, I am having a SERIOUS chocolate attack. I hate sweets, I dont even like chocolate, and to top it all off, I want crab legs too! There is something very wrong with me. I went and bought melting chocolate, melted it, and poured it over blueberries, and strawberries, and I am addicted now, and if they dont stop playing that outback commercial with the crab legs and the steak, im gonna cry!

I'm craving crab legs too!!  There is no place good in this area to get them!

  • Not sure where your from, but in Florida, most chinese buffets have them! Not all of them are good though. I am thinking red lobster for dinner! lol

  • DH and I are from So. Maryland (where the carbs are amazing) and we now live near Charlotte, NC (where the crabs are jus about non existant). My best attempt at settling those cravings (even the ones pre-pregnancy) were to get the immitation crab meat and real butter (not margerine or any of the diet things) and do the following:

(1 stick of butter per 8 oz immitation crab meat)

Melt the butter in a saucepan on about medium. Rip/cut the immitation crabmeat into about bite size pieces. Once the butter is totally melted, mix the immitation crabmeat in, and be sure to cover it all in butter. Add Old Bay Seasoning (to taste, personally I like a lot) and mix that in. Let it cook, but not boil (turn to low heat if necessary), and stir occasionally. It's done after about 20-30 minutes (about the time you can smell only that and you start to drool over it).

It doesn't taste exactly like crabs or crab legs, but its still absolutely amazing and better than nothing when those cravings hit.

  • Of all the thing to crave - french fries. Not the skimpy little fast food fries, I mean the big, skin still on, thick cut, squishy on the inside french fries from New York Fries and those places that pride themselves with their hand cut chips. They're SO good!

I think you just ruined my dinner plans (smokies and salad)!  Now I want New York fries with KFC gravy (yes, I actually stand in line just for an order for gravy...hahaha)

  • You know what really sounds good... is KFC potato wedges and the mac and cheese lol and ofcourse the chocolate covered blueberries and crab legs.

  • Y'all are making me so hungry!!! Crabs sound so good and we hardly eat fish anymore because our 2yr old has an allergy.

Ive been craving onions... I want them on everything!! Hot dogs, eggs, enchiladas, etc!!

  • I'm craving crab legs, too!

I actually had a huge craving for them a few days before I had my positive pregnancy test.  Then I kept talking about them and we made them again.  My husband looked at me in the middle of our meal and said "your first craving" and we realized it was a trend.

We're going out to lunch tomorrow just to get crab legs, lol.

There must be a nutrient in there that my body wants.

Lobster is easier to come by in this area, and less expensive, honestly, but I don't want lobster, I want crab.

  • Lol I went to Boston Market - which I think I maybe went to once in my life like 10 years ago.  GRAVY!  I wanted gravy.  I couldn't eat the vegetable, but wolfed down the turkey with gravy.
