My husband would high five you for Desmond. He loves that name so much and wants me to cave on it. I like it for a middle name but he's insisting on it being a first. He would be so excited someone else likes it too!

High five to him then. On another born I posted on everyone hated Desmond. lol
Had to vote for Desmond just because the others don't seem like actual names to me. (I attended Emory University, so naming someone Emery to me is like naming them Harvard.) Why not Lawrence for a first name?

Many of the names are Irish (as is my DH). I don't like Lawrence enough to use it for a first name. And I had a professor in my program in college with that name and I would think of him every time I spoke to my kid and I'd prefer not to.

Desmond is also one of my DH's favorite names, but I'm just not quite sold on it.
OP - I voted for Declan because I like that name a lot! Emery is a name that I had on my list, but it was on my girl's list. DH vetoed it though anyway.
