B6 & Unisom

I'm not one to take medicine. If I can just lay it out to avoid taking something I will. I'm 12 weeks now and have been suffering from all day nausea. Last week I actually started vomiting. So I decided to take the b6 & unison that my Dr. suggested instead of taking the prescription. I take it at night and yes first thing in the morning th nausea is under control, however by the afternoon it returns. Is anyone else taking this cocktail and how often do you take it.

Re: B6 & Unisom

  • That particular cocktail didn't work for me (the B6 actually made it worse), but once I started having less m/s around 15 weeks, I could get away with a unisom at night only as long as I ate every 3 hours.

I take it.  Are you taking a half dose or whole one?

I take a 1/2 Unisom and 1/2 B6 at night before bed.  If I need it again in the day, I take another 1/2 tablet each.  My midwife said that's fine.

Why would you pay for Zofran or another RX if you don't have to?

  • Zofran does work...it makes you normal again but gives you constipation, take coalace if you take Zofran...
