Right now DS uses a straw cup and does great with it. I was thinking of starting to introduce an adult cup (at home only for now) and I came across the oxo training cup. Has anyone tried it? What do you think?

Re: training cup
I don't have that one, but we have this one which is sort of similar: https://www.usa.philips.com/c/avent-baby-toddler-feeding/toddler-cups-260ml-12m-plus-scf782_13/prd/en/
DS hasn't really figured it out yet. He does okay with regular cups if I hold it, but he doesn't put his mouth up to this one long enough to realize he can get water out of it. He's pretty picky about his cups, so I can't say that every kid would have trouble with it, but it hasn't worked for us yet. I keep offering it though, I like the concept.
I've seen the OXO one but haven't gotten it yet, However last night when packing away some of Ty's birthday gifts to give him later (A month later, I know!) I saw that he had this Avent one in a bag. Oops! I knew he got a cup, but didn't notice which one it was, or realize that I hadn't used it yet.
He's drank from my plastic cups before, if it's something he can drink that is
and he actually does pretty well. The funniest was when he wanted lemonade, Figuring he'd hate it I let him try a sip to placate him. He made the funniest puckering face and smacking his lips and then begged for more and more and more!!
This is our favorite cup. DD drinks out of it like a pro and can actually drink from an open cup as well as long as it's not too heavy or doesn't have too much liquid in it.
