"Hi x,
Hope all is well..
I am writing to see if you might be able to assist me with finding a job.
I am not looking for another sales position as I've been doing this for so long. I would like to find a position with flexibility so I can work from home, a position for 4 days per week. My resume/work history is on my LinkedIn file or please email me with your contact information at xxxxxi'll forward my resume for your review. "
Serioulsy, so you want to switch fields, work from home and only work 4 days per week. You dont want a job you want someone to pay you to do practically nothing!
Re: The main reason I hate being a recruiter
So, this is a friend who knows you're a recruiter and is trying to have you land everyone's dream job for them? I would be annoyed by that.
I'm also irked for you about the "my info is in my linkedin profile" as if you should go seeking them out. I know they offered to send their resume too, but IMO they should have either attached the resume to this email, or told you they would get it to you by email later that day. You're already doing them a favor, to me it's presumptuous that you would go seeking out their info via linkedin.

Yep. I worked with this person about 5 yrs ago when I lived in a differnt state and was in the accounting field. I have never spoke to them since I relocated and changed careers. Then I get that message out of the blue yesterday. I get crap like this all the time from people at church or just via linked in. I am a recruiter not a miracle worker for lazy folk!
Hell no!!! I am keeping it for myself!
Nope! I am sure he would turn it down. Don't you have go actually go to other peoples homes to demo products and do MK parties?
LOL!
I was totally kidding. I just thought it'd be funny to suggest a bogus* job to them.
*=I don't really think MK is bogus, but it's certainly no way to make a living...
