Random question...

Has anyone ever used myregistry.com?

A co-worker said a friend from college used it for her baby registry and it was really easy to find things in one place and it was linked to BRU, BBB, Target, Amazon, etc. 

I was thinking this might be an easy thing for my friends and family.

Thoughts or opinions?

    Haven't heard of it. DH and I chose to go through BRU. We need to have the registry done by Labor Day weekend (early baby shower due to some Indian cultural requirements), so we're trying our best to power through it all.

    I used it for my wedding, but then registered in stores too. A lot of people wanted to go to the store and pick things out, and many things you find are not available online. So many target things say "In store only". 

    Also, they sent me SO many emails, even after the wedding, so if you use them, try to set your email preferences so they aren't emailing you every day for the rest of your life.

    Someone on here suggested it the other day, so I putzed around on it and I think I may switch to that from Amazon. The biggest bonus I found over the Amazon one (which is also universal), is that it syncs a ton of registries, so you don't have to go back online to mark off something you bought at BRU - it automatically does it for you.

    I'm using it! I synced it to my amazon registry and I like it because I can add things I find on other sites that are not offered by amazon.

    yes!  i used it for our wedding registry. i thought it was a great idea....but we have a lot of older friends/family members and they weren't into using the computer.  it was all just too overwhelming for them.  honestly we only got a couple of things off of the registry.  it was really weird!  people like to just walk into the store and purchase the gift the week of.  so only things from the local stores on there were purchased ( we registred at crate & barrel-but we don't have a local one).  so, think about which stores (if they're local) and who will be purchasing.

    My SIL is currently registered there.  She likes it. She is also registered at BRU so it gives people options.  I think I am going to do the same.  I live far from many friends and all family so I think most people will shop online for the shipping. I think its easier than registering at four or five places.
