We are having another girl and yet I still have to cull through the clothes as DD1 was born in July and DD2 will be born in December. Jammies are about the only thing I can reuse.
I say sell what you can to some place like Once Upon a Child, and then if there is anything they won't take, you can save that. Maybe have 1 smaller box, and say you will keep enough to fit in there, and that is that. That way you both are happy?

I said just in case - not because this baby may end up being a boy, but because you may decide to have another after this one.
I think your DH knows it's a girl, and has other reasons beyond "just in case." Does he actually want more? Is he morning the fact that this one is a girl and holding onto the clothes is his way of doing it?
Maybe give DH a small bin and say "You can fill this bin up with your favorites." Then, sell/donate whatever is left.

That's a great idea!

If you are 100% POSITIVE you're only having two kids, I would organize all of your son's clothes and have them ready to donate and/or sell, but I would hold off on doing so until baby arrives. If it did turn out to be a boy, you would be mad you had given everything away already, and it's just a few more months of storage...

Since you only want two, I think you should sell or donate. It's unlikely that two people were wrong. I would only hold on to them if you though you'd be having a third.
We're fairly sure this is our last, but even if it's not, there are always others who want to give you their used baby stuff & second hand stores & yard sales are really great places to find baby clothes - I NEED the space so we're ditching EVERYTHING that isn't going to be tied directly to this baby.
So, my vote was, sell/give away your boy stuff. If you need more later, it's not hard to replace.
