1st Trimester

So sick!!!

I just started my 7th week and pretty much nothing is appetizing to me.  I tried plain yogurt for breakfast this morning before getting ready for work and ended up puking it up all over my shower :(  I can't stomach the thought of saltines first thing in the morning- just looking at them on the bedside is enough to make me sick.  Is there an alternative to saltines that I can eat before I get out of bed?  Has anyone tried toast?  I'm sure my DH would make me some before I got up.  Any suggestions?  Does tea help?

  • I have switched to tortilla shells, they are easier for me to eat in bed before I wake up then saltines.

  • I guess dry toast would work.  Drink lots of ginger.  I buy the Twinnings Lemon Ginger tea and it helps a TON!

  • I go back and forth but have found that whole wheat toast has been my staple.  If I can stomache it, I try it with peanut butter.

  • I am right there with you.  I was up all night last night sick to my stomach and started vomiting this morning.  :(  All I can keep down is saltines and ginger ale.  Good luck!  I can't wait until this part is over..

  • I had to puke up saltines, that was like sandpaper, gross...

    do you like pretzels, my nurse recommended that, but I am not a fan of pretzels..I like toast or french bread with butter...

    I am at week 9 almost 10 and I am puking my brains out, I did get a rx for Zofran for my nausea/vomiting but that does give you constipation....
