Just looking for some words of encouragement or people who have had this happen to them before. This is my first pregnancy, so I might be being a tad over reactive, or maybe even under reactive according to my friend I should be at the hospital right now hooked up to IV's and being poked to death by different doctors.
Two days ago, I noticed very light pink almost peach looking blood on the toilet paper when I wiped. Never in my panties or urine or anything like that. It never got any darker. This morning, I got up, went to work, and felt odd down there so I went to the bathroom, and when I wiped this time, there was bright red blood with one tiny little clot. Ive gone to the bathroom at least ten times since then, and no more bright red blood, but back to the pinkish/peachish color. So it only happened once. I am not having any pain or discomfort.
I called my doc, and I have an appt @ 10. So, hopefully, this wont be the end of my little one's journey I am so sad and scared.
Re: Another bleeder.... prayers please :(
I remember pink discharge when I was pregnant with DS, but no bright red.
This time around, I had no pink but bright red. I tried to remain calm, called my OB, and he told me NOT to go to the ER as they would just poke and prod, which could potentially cause more damage. He said as long as there was no cramping and it didn't continue, not to worry. I guess the cervix etc. is very delicate at this point. And this was about 5 weeks ago, and now all is fine. Stay calm and wait for your OB's directions. He won't mislead you.

Don't worry, dear!!! I know that it's so scary to see blood down there. It's good that you have an appointment set up already to ease your mind, but hopefully I can ease your mind a little bit, too. I'm in my second tri now, but for nearly two whole weeks in my first tri I had lots of spotting!!! It's completely normal for some women, but it's just not a symptom talked about very often so many women don't know that it's often nothing to worry about.
I did a lot of reading about it when I got home from the doctor that first scary spotting day, and discovered how many women have spotting. The books say that if it's not light pink or dark brown to be worried, but that's not always the case. Mine ranged in color from dark brown to dark red to bright red, sometimes with clotting, and like I said, it lasted for almost two weeks! There are lots of causes that I discovered when I was researching it as well, like recent intercourse or a recent cervical/vaginal exam, or even just residual blood from past periods. I actually discovered a lot of women on the bump with spotting in their histories, too!
I hope that makes you feel better. I'm sure your little darling is perfectly safe and happy in there right now. Have a good appointment; my thoughts and prayers are with you!
It did! Thank you so much. I heading to the doc now.

Well I will be thinking about you all weekend and crossing my fingers for good news!
Ugh honesly I would get a new doc. I don't think docs should mention a potential loss to a patient unless they are like 99% sure it's going to happen. I do hope everything works out for you and like PP said, odds are things are OK. I remember when I was PG with LO we had sex and about a day later I had light pink spotting. Poor DH spent that entire day thinking he had done something to the baby. I called the OB said it was normal but they could check and sure enough everything was OK. T & P are with you!
