My LO is almost 10 months. She loves drinking out of a regular cup/water bottle. But we have to hold if for her. I have been thinking about trying to skip the sippy cup all together...
Is anyone else thinking of skipping a sippy cup and just going straight to a regular cup? If so, what age did you start your LO on it? How is it going, are they able to hold the glass themself? What is your plan for weaning your baby off the bottle and still getting them enough whole milk?
Thanks for the help!
Re: Anyone skipping a sippy cup?
My LO isn't the biggest sippy cup fan. She only like the straw kind anyways. She is pretty good with a regular cup.
However, I don't want milk disaster all over my house, water all over her, the highchair and the floor at meal time either. She's good but not that good.
That said, when I feel like making a mess or we're outside (which is a good share of the day) I let her go crazy with water in a cup. She does pretty good.
However for things like the car and out and about, like faith said, what else am I supposed to to do? I want LO to be independent and I don't have the time and patience to hold a cup all day, esp. when I have kid that tends to sip the day away.
You might want to try a cup like this. It would be a happy medium for you, I think.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
