If you could only have one (housekeeper or nanny)...
Which would it be? Even if you have one or both now...you could only choose one, which one would you like to have at your disposal?

Housekeeper. Hands down. Not ever having to worry about the laundry/dust/cooking again? Holy moly guacamole
Speaking of guacamole.. I could totally go for some right now.. if I had a housekeeper I'd totally have her make me some haha
100% agree. I'd even still do my own laundry-I'm weird about laundry, I don't like other people seeing my dirty underwear-creeps me out. Just having someone to clean my bathrooms, floors, dishes, and do the occasional dusting would be amazing!

Are these full time?
My house gets cleaned once a week and I have someone help me with Claire 15 hours a week.
I wouldn't give up the cleaning. I'd much prefer to just give up my 15 hours.

I'd take the housekeeper. But I keep cooking, as it's my favorite thing to do. I just won't do any of the dishes!!
I came home one day and without me ever asking (because, honestly, who would even think of it), my housekeeper had organized my underwear drawer by style and color. It's ridiculous yet fantastic.
Me too. I like to clean my own house, but I'd love someone to rely on when I want me-time or a sick day.

Another vote for housekeeper, no question. I'm not a very good housekeeper, LOL, so it'd be nice to have the house kept clean. DH and I made a deal back when we were dating that I'd be in charge of cooking and he'd be in charge of cleaning, but apparently he meant tidying. If I could just worry about taking care of Lily and cooking, I'd be a very happy camper. I don't like the idea of others touching my underwear, but I dislike doing laundry so I'd get over that.
When we were in Colombia we hired a woman to come in once every two weeks to clean and do laundry. It was sooooo nice to come home on the day she'd been there and have a nice clean apartment, fresh sheets, etc.

Exactly. Hiring a housekeeper would be like buying back my weekends. It would be soooo worth the money (if I had money).

Housekeeper, handsdown ! With working FT, I already feel like I don't get enough time with DD. A nanny would just take away what little time I already have.
