Tell me about acrylic paint while pregnant.  Can I do it?  I have some acrylic paints left over at the house from previous crafting projects.  I want to paint some canvases for DS's toddler room, plus paint the big letter initial we got for over his bed.  

Any thoughts?

    If you're in a well ventilated area (not a 4x4 cell ;) ) you should be just fine. Of course, holding the bottle up to your nose for 5 hours probably isn't such a great idea, either. :p Sorry to burst THAT bubble ;)

    I tend to "go rogue" while pregnant and do a number of things "they" tell me not to - I'd use the acrylic paint and make something wonderful.

    Yeah acrylic is fine... I'm a VERY "Artsy Fartsy" person and asked my doc a million questions about that kind of stuff... The only thing that she didn't want me to work with is spray paint, which is understandable... Good luck... Post pics!!!

    Just an aside, did you ask about oil paints, as in I am making a painting oil paints? I would love to paint something, but I don't like acrylic... But I think this is probably out as many have carcinogens in them for color, so dangerous even when not pregnant... :( I miss my paint...

    My midwife advised me to stay away from oil based paints.

    As someone that spray-painted an entire bookshelf this week, I say go for it.
    2/12: 100 mg Clomid + Bravelle last minute+ back to back IUI. BFN
    3/12 150mg Clomid + B2B IUI =BFP!! TWINS!
    Vanishing twin at week 6
    Tater-tot born January 3rd 2013

    2 IUI's in 2016- BFN
    3 IUI's in 2017- BFN
    8/17 IUI BFP!!!!!!!!

    Thanks ladies!  I asked my Ob today just randomly at my check up today and she said she thought it was fine as well if I were in a well ventilated area :)  

    Now I just need to get going on all these projects!!!
