Hello ladies! Happy almost-friday! ![]()
As you know, our July discussion of Cinderella Ate my Daughter is tomorrow. Which means, we need to pick our August book!
Since this month was a non-fiction selection, let's try to stay away from that genre. Variety is the spice of life, after all!
With that being said: Any books you would like to read and/or discuss?
*Random thought: Why don't we pick a horror book for October? We can always do The Shining or some other Stephen King classic, that might be fun. lol. ;-)
Re: Book Club Info Post. :)
HOW did I miss out on this last time??
Dang it, I always miss the fun...
Ditto.

I'll love you forever Baby Speck
Yeah, where have you been? We discussed The Maze Runner last month, and this month is obviously Cinderella [..].
Please join us! We'd love more readers! And, as I said, recommend a book!

Horror! Yes!!
Can I suggest "Let The Right One In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist?
If you've heard of the movie "Let Me In", it's the book that movie is based from. I haven't read it yet, but I'm intrigued.
It's a vampire book, but it's not Twilight-y or even Anne Rice-y.
I just looked this up on goodreads. It has my vote for October!

There are actually two movies. Let the right one in AND the Let Me In. Is the book better than the movies? I have always been interested in it.
I've never seen the Swedish one but I really enjoyed the US film. I haven't read the book, but I skimmed the first chapter a Barnes and Noble a few weeks back and it definitely piqued my interest. I've heard good things, though.
Saw a story on CBS Sunday Morning... "Author Jennifer Weiner ("Best Friends Forever," "Then Came You") offers her suggestions on the season's prime books for the beach."
These are the recommendations:
Two of them look pretty serious/sad though, so I don't know if we would want to do that to people! Another "chick lit" book that looks good that I've been wanting to read for awhile is "Can You Keep A Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella.
