I was just watching Role Models an Seann William Scott's character's name is Anson Wheeler.  I wouldn't use another -son name since I already have a Mason but I was curious what others thought of it.

    I'm not a fan of the name, it feels incomplete. And, for some reason, it reminds me of the boy band Hanson.

    It seems like a squish name- like it either wants to be Andrew or some -son name but it didn't get to be either one.
    DH and I are Americans living an adventure in Kenya since 2011

    Nov 2012: Little buddy born in Kenya
    Nov 2013: Trying for a second, still w PCOS
    Dec 2013: IUI cycle canceled for non-response
    Jan 2014: Break cycle BFP!

    I directed a 9-year-old a few years back named Anson.  It's one of the few A names that I like for boys.

    It's a nice name.  My friend's german shepherd is named Anson.  =)

    It seems incomplete. I know that my DS name could be seen as that way, but this is different. It looks like it is missing one letter at the beginning.

    This was my first thought exactly! I semi-like Jenson though, which is similar.

    It's okay... I prefer Ansel though. I'll ditto PPs who said Anson looks a bit incomplete.
    This. Ansel sounds better to me, although I don't think I'd use either one.
