I'm too embarrassed to buy booze...but I really want to!!!

Has anyone else bought a bottle of something? I'm going to be sitting at home once again tonight while my BF stays out to drink/smoke with the boys after work, and I really want to go get a bottle of wine to sip on so I don't feel so left out. I know I shouldn't be too worried about if the grocery store cashier is judging me, but still....I can't help hesitating a bit. If you did buy alcohol, was it no big deal or did people give looks/comments? I know I'm taking this way too seriously...see this is why I need the wine LOL

    I buy beer for DH at the grocery store often.  It's NBD.  Like I give any shits at all what some 19 year old cashier thinks of me?

    I've bought plenty of alcohol for parties or gifts since being pregnant.  No one has said anything to me.  They don't know who you're buying for and it's really none of their business.

    I bought a six pack for my hubs once..... Not that big of a deal,  IMO. Personally, I would blush more at buying condoms than booze when pg.

    I bought almost $100 worth of alcohol for our 4th of July party and didn't think about it at all. It didn't cross my mind those guys would think I was buying that for myself. Go for it! Who cares?

    Last weekend I went and bought booze for the long weekend (Aug 4-6; Canada has a Civic holiday) and it ended up being 2-24 cases of beer, 2 bottles of wine, a 40 of Vodka and a 40 of Spiced Rum.  None of it is for me (I don't drink) and I could have cared less what the cashier thought of me.  My dad called in the request for me to buy the booze.  I think the rest of the request went to my Uncle.  Cause that much wouldn't even last an evening with my family!!

    I had to buy a PLUNGER the other day. That was embarrasing Embarrassed I'd buy a bottle of wine over that anyday!! lol

    I've bought alcohol several times for DH and for company.  Nobody thinks twice about it, they'll assume you're getting it for someone else, most likely.

    I had family come visit so I made a trip to the state liquor store.  I bought a couple boxes of wine, a couple bottles of wine, a couple cases of beer, a bottle of Kahlua and a bottle of rum.  All kinds of crazy looks.  A couple rude comments.  My response was to say "Oh, yeah... this is all for me and will be gone by Monday" which earned me more disgusted looks, but who cares.

    I bought a big jug of rum, a bottle of red, and a bottle of white at the grocery store the other day. No one said anything, though I thought it was funny to be pregnant and waddling with some much alcohol. None of it is for me to drink, but no one knew that one way or the other.

    I have bought wine quite a few times since I've been pregnant... usually, when I've gone shopping for parties when we've have people over, etc... so, it's really not a big deal!  Go buy it!!

    Not only have I purchased alcohol, but when I attended a family picnic at FIL's employer a couple of weeks ago, I said "yes" when they asked if I wanted my two alcoholic drink tickets. I even got a glass of wine and drank a little bit of it, maybe an ounce or two.
