weird tingling

I have this tingling sensation (like when your hand or foot falls asleep) ? its not painful, just odd and kind of uncomfortable right underneath my breasts, at the very top of my bump.  Anyone else having this sensation?

Re: weird tingling

  • Not in that location; had it a few weeks ago on the side of my big toe (I know, very odd, specific location, normally it's the whole toe or foot, not a tiny part of it), and was getting a fair amount of arm, leg, etc, falling asleep/tingling as if I had been in the position too long yet I had just shifted myself around.

Mentioned it to a friend who had #2 last year; she said she had that a lot of the random tingling/parts falling asleep sensation in her pregnancy, especially when she was on bed rest.  Her explanation was that as things are moving around and shifting, random nerves become compressed and that causes the tingling, where as with the pins & needles sensation that we're more used to, then it's blood vessels being compressed.

If it's something that is worrying you, contact your dr. & she/he can put your mind at ease.

  • I had this today as well except mine was at my sides wrapping around to my back a little. It felt kind of like vibrations or tingling. Didn't last for very long, maybe a half hour off and on. Since it didn't last long and didn't come back today, I wasn't worried. My doctor told me that most things are normal as long as they don't continue to happen over long periods of time.

I also woke up to a Charley Horse in my calf! I woke up almost screaming. My husband is out of town so that's good but my dog freaked out! HAHA!
