U/S @ 6 weeks?

My doctor scheduled my next appt for 8/6, I'll be exactly 6 weeks. She said they will do an u/s that day. Will this be too early to see anything? I don't know if it matters but my betas were 10dpo- 15 and 12dpo- 65. They drew again today but I won't know what they are until tomorrow morning.

My first appt. is on the 6th too, I'll be 8 weeks, 2 days. Then on the 8th we go back in to meet the doctor, discuss birth plans, do an U/S. I can't wait, these next 2 weeks are going to kill me!

I had mine today and I didn't know what to expect either. Mine was a vaginal u/s and we got to see a little peanut. The heartbeat was flickering on the screen, and they could tell it was 120 bpm, but it is too early to hear it. It was exciting though! Congrats!

mine is on the 7th and I will be 6w 3d. They didn't seem concerned that they wouldn't see anything when they made the appointment for me... Lets hope we see heartbeats!!!

it can vary. i went yest and they said i measured 6wks exactly and all i saw was the sac and a yolk sac inside

I just got home from my first appointment and ultrasound. They only saw the "yolk" which they said was typical. I am a day shy of 6-weeks. They are going to try again in 2-weeks.

I have had early ultrasounds. My first one was at 5 weeks 4 days. We saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. The RE said this is "exactly what we want to see at this point", she also checked on the measurement to see if it was dated correctly.

Then I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days, this time we saw the baby and the heartbeat! She checked the heart rate and made sure the baby's size was correct and it was all good.

So the point is, just 1 week makes a huge difference. If yours is at exactly 6 weeks there's probably no way to predict whether or not you will see anything, but don't worry if you don't because its still early.

We had an u/s at 6 weeks 5 days and saw the baby with a heartbeat and got to hear it too. Good luck!

Had an u/s yesterday, just saw the empty sac...I measured at 5w, 6d. They didn't seem overly concerned, but they scheduled another u/s for next week at 6w, 6d. Hoping to see something then. I'm trying not to be worried....

Had an US the other day at 6w & 1d. We did see the heartbeat with a HR of 100.

She said that if we would have came even a day or 2 earlier, we may not have been able to see it.
Hours-days can change a lot , if you don't see something the first time!

Had my u/s today at 5wks5d. Got to see sac and the heart beat! Was just the tiniest flicker but so exciting!

I had my first U/S at 6w3d and they saw a heartbeat....it can vary for everyone though....

With DS, I had my first scan at 5w4d, and all we could see was a gestational sac and yolk sac. With dd, I had my first scan at 6 weeks exactly, and we saw a heartbeat. Don't panic if you don't see a heartbeat. It starts beating around 6 weeks. That doesn't mean exactly 6 weeks. It means +/- a couple days. Good luck!

A lot of doctors do dating u/s at the 6w mark. When I had mine, I measured 5w5d, we saw a gestational sac, yolk sac, fetal pole, and hb. This was transvaginal. The baby was measuring only 2mm so, as PP have said, days can make a difference on what you see
