I hate rainy days (even though it's SO needed here).
I'm sort of hoping that our staff person doesn't stick to his corrective action plan, and can be terminated. I'm really over having to supervise his ungrateful ass.
And, this week isn't going fast enough... NEXT Thursday is our A/S and I'm really anxious to find out what we're having.
Edit: I need coffee. Is it Whipped or whip? See, I hate it so much I can't even remember how to say it.

I think its fine to refer to your baby as "it" in normal conversation until you know what gender they are. Constantly referring to "they baby" or just "baby" in normal daily conversation is kind of annoying. For instance, "When we find out what it is we'll start decorating the nursery" is a perfectly normal statement.
I have no desire to boycott Chickfila. While I am all for marriage equality, I just don't see how my boycotting will help the cause, considering there are a lot of other companies who are anti-gay marriage as well.

I think the new show on TLC called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is absurd. Why anyone would choose to publicize their family's "redneck moments" is beyond me. Also, I think that there is something wrong with mixing Red Bull and Mountain Dew (as the mother in the show admits to doing) and giving it to your child...or to an adult, for that matter.

I think this may be a popular opinion, LOL. I just saw the commercials over the weekend and all I could do was SMH. Really?! I can't believe they are getting paid to have a show like this one, on TLC.

I agree that this is could be in the popular opinion category. I kind of wonder what the parents on some of these reality shows are thinking (or whether they think).

I don't know much about that show other than what I've heard on here, but that is straight up cray.

I have no desire to boycott Chickfila. While I am all for marriage equality, I just don't see how my boycotting will help the cause, considering there are a lot of other companies who are anti-gay marriage as well.
this. i'm totally pro-marriage equality, but i also think it is a person or company's (not the government) right to have a different idea of what marriage should be. to each their own. chick-fil-a isn't a lawmaker, and they put pickles on chicken sandwiches. i'm totally not boycotting.
I despise all of the coverage that the one "family" involved in the Aurora shooting is getting... The one I'm referring to is the one that had their 4 month old baby and another small child with them at the MIDNIGHT (on a weeknight) viewing of a pretty dark movie.
IMO, they should not have taken their kids to THAT movie at any time of day AND I seriously question their judgement in taking their kids (that little) to ANY movie at midnight.
Do I think they deserved to be a part of what happened? Certainly not... Nobody did. But I'm angry that they're getting all of this sympathy and attention because their baby was at risk, when the baby should never have been there.
I'm over everyone's kind advice that I should just take second-hand baby items instead of "spending all that money" on some new things. Stop offering me your 6 year old crib, fugly old glider, and three year old infant clothes that have been inadequately stored in your attic. Stop dumping old clothes on me that you haven't gone through to weed out the junk. I don't want them, and I'm going to donate it all to Goodwill, which is what you should have done 2 years ago. And, stop giving me a disapproving and anguished look when I politely say, "No, thank you." I have worked very hard for all that baby money saved in the bank. If I want to blow it on brand new baby stuff for my first of what will probably be two children, that's my business. I can afford it. Don't make me actually say that aloud.
I hate it when people only call others by their nicknames, unless that is what they always go by (like Nick for Nicholas or something.) My name is Carissa, and I have lots of nicknames like Riss, Rissa, Rissy, Rissa Roo, etc, but I still am just plain Carissa. My MIL refuses to call me Carissa, and she now refuses to call our baby Desmond. And she spells his nickname wrong (not how we're gonna spell it.) Trivial to some, annoying to me.
Chick-Fil-A is a business. I pay them for a chicken sandwich, they give me my food. They don't upcharge me, they just chose to donate portions of their profits to support anti-gay marriage. Me buying their food isn't supporting that cause, it's me supporting not being hungry. I go to the pride parades and everything, I'm supportive of marriage equality, and if a restaurant would do what CFA is doing, I'd eat there, too. Also, No one mentions that CFA doesn't support vegetarianism. Food racists.
I'm just being sarcastic on the food racist part.

I hate summer as well! I just wish it would freaking rain. It has been 105 all week without any relief and trying to entertain my toddler indoors has been horrible.
Oh and I'm sick of people (especially family)telling me that they don't like my name choice for my kid.... Really? If you have a better one then pop out your own kid and name him what you choose.
I could give a rats rear end whether or not Chic-fil-a supports gay marriage or not. They make a good freakin' chicken sandwich and thats the only "fast food" I eat or that I will feed my child. Do I support marriage equality, sure...do I care if my chicken sandwich makers do...no.
I love not finding out the sex of the baby...it drives some people nuts. And that gives me a lot of smiles on the inside

Right there with ya! And if one more person tells me that "they're a planner" so they just HAVE to find out, I may punch someone. I'm a "planner" too, and was totally able to have everything I needed for #1 before he was born, despite NOT knowing if we would be bringing home a baby boy or baby girl.
If you want to find out, that's great for you, but don't act like people who don't find out are just going into this whole delivery thing unprepared and must not really care about getting ready for the baby.
I have no desire to boycott Chickfila. While I am all for marriage equality, I just don't see how my boycotting will help the cause, considering there are a lot of other companies who are anti-gay marriage as well.
I have to agree too. Political opinions aside, it's a restaurant..they serve food..food i happen to like..what they do with my $ after they pay for the food they buy is not my concern...and I don't think anyone should be able to guilt trip me into eating or not eating at place I like. Besides, like you said, plenty of other companies are against gay marriage, CFA just happens to have a CEO with a big enough mouth to voice his opinion.

I learned to loooooooathe this phrase when pg with my first. The fact someone responds to someone else who is team green with "Oh, I could never do that...I'm a planner!" is very obviously implying they think you're NOT a planner. Guess what? I planned a LOT for my first. I planned on a baby. One that could be a boy or a girl. Plan plan plan. Not knowing his sex did not make me any less prepared for mothering him. It drove me bonkers.
My favorite part about not finding out last time was how annoyed other people were about it, heh!
Since apparently still eating Chick-Fil-A is the popular opinion, I'll throw the other side out there. I think supporting a company that openly espouses hateful philosophies is wrong. I am proud that Boston has told them they're not welcome.
Also, I think the new Batman movie is boring, and that Christian Bale makes a lame Batman in general.

1. I agree with you. While some people may not be bothered by supporting a company that is decidedly anti-equality, I am not. It's one of my soap-boxy hot buttons.
2. I liked the new Batman movie. Minus Christian Bale, I cannot stand his Batman voice. The supporting characters are fantastic. I was pleasantly suprised by Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and I'm a HUGE Joseph Gordon-Levitt fan.

I hate the word crotch. My skin crawls when people say it in conversation, and when girls refer to their vagina as "my crotch" I just want to punch them. I just hate the way it sounds.
A lot of companies actually use their profits to support organizations they believe in, you just will never hear about it because they aren't as vocal as CFA. There are also a lot of companies that support things you may not aprove of behind doors, and you will never know about it.

Just a side note for those who think Chic-fil-A doesn't donate profits to anti-gay programs...
Chick-fil-A gave over $8 million to WinShape Foundation in 2010.[41] Between 2003 and 2009, WinShape Foundation gave more than $2 million to groups such as Focus on the Family and Eagle Forum that are politically active in opposing same-sex marriage and other gay rights issues.
So its not just about the one douche saying horrible things in the media its about a portion of my money going to towards programs I don't believe in.
