CP- Is this a creepy comment?

I can't make my mind up as to the appropriateness of this comment....a chick that I went to HS with commented on the pic below and wrote "I want you to paint me like one of your French girls."

Idk why, but it made me a little uncomfortable. Oh. And if you don't get the reference, let me know and I'll come rescue you from underneath that boulder ;)

  • First off, very cute picture of Eden. Love that swimsuit! Second, that comment is way beyond creepy. Delete it.

    Thanks!

Yea. I'm going to do that right now. I thought that I may have overreacted when I saw it, but I'm glad to see that I'm not BSC.

Who quotes a sex scene in reference to a picture of a baby. Weird.

  • The comment is creepy, and Eden is absolutely precious!

  • Very creepy. I'm not sure how she could possibly think that was an appropriate comment to leave on a picture of a baby.

I would not only delete the comment but also block the girl. I wouldn't want her to see pictures of my Lo after a comment like that.

     This. Very creepy!

  • I think she was trying to be funny, and failed. "Paint me like one of your French girls" is apparently a meme now, so that's probably why she thought it was ok? I don't know

  • I'm obviously in the minority here but I don't think it was that bad.  That was not a sex scene.  I find that scene more about her breaking out of the mold she had been put in and being independent.  That being said, it was a stupid comment to make on that picture because any way you look at it, it is not relevant to a picture of a baby.

    P.S. cute pic.  Smile

    This. Exactly.

  • It wasn't a sex scene was it? he just drew her...she was referring to little Edens pose...but it is kinda weird to refrence a sexy naked painting to a little newborn in a bathingsuit...shes a weirdo!

  • I live under a rock and have no idea what the quote is from. But even still it sounds like an inappropriate comment to make on a baby photo, as others have stated/

Gotcha! Haha. I've seen the Titanic, I promise! I just didn't exactly memorize/remember many quotes.

  • I guess I am the minority -- I didn't find it creepy at all.  I doubt she was trying to be a perv or anything -- it was just a funny reference.

  • It seems like one of those cases where the person didn't think before posting. I would probably just ignore it.

I didn't know it either and have seen the movie lots of times!

  • Or.. actually, I might take the picture down. I have one of Joanna that I chose not to put on facebook even though she looks beautiful because it just looks too posy in an adult way for me. I did post it on married life because I had to AW how pretty she is, but I DD it later (which I don't normally do). I just felt weird leaving it out there.

I have to admit I laughed when I read the comment, I don't think it's meant to be creepy.

  • I'm in the funny camp.  A bit inappropriate, but funny.  I think it might have edged into the creepy camp if the comment was made by a guy.  Man, just typing that felt sexist, but I'm staying with it, lol.

  • Unless you guys have some long-running inside joke that pertains to this, it's creepy.

  • I don't know why anyone would feel the need to make a sexual comment on a baby's photo. Super creepy and inappropriate. Adorable picture of Eden though.

This. She does LOOK like the pose from the movie. When I saw the picture (before reading your post) I thought she looked a little too 'adult' for a picture of a baby in a swimsuit.  I know that wasn't your intention, and I don't think you did anything wrong by posting the picture by any means. But it's probably not a photo that I would put on the internet.

Yeah, I don't see that. She's just on a changing table.

    I took the comment off.
