I am just wondering what questions to ask my OB about his rules for VBACs. What did you ask and when should a red flag be raised in my head that my OB isnt very supportive of a VBAC? Thanks for the input!

Questions: - VBAC attempts/success rates - c/s rates - limitations/restrictions for VBAC patients vs non-VBAC patients - restrictions during labor and delivery for VBACs - willingness to induce a VBAC if needed - views on VBACs vs RCS - VBAC environment at delivering hospital(s)
Red Flags: - mandatory c/s scheduled for your EDD (or earlier) for non-medical reasons - mandatory epidural during labor - generally speaks negatively about your VBAC chances - exaggerates the risk for uterine rupture (should be about 0.5-0.8%) - lots of restrictions for pregnancy/labor/delivery *** performs several "growth" u/s to watch for size of baby in reference to your VBAC, can't go past 40 weeks, restricted movement during labor, required internal fetal monitoring (external is more than sufficient), strict labor timeframes (less than 24 hours etc),
Those are some examples of what I looked for when searching for a provider, but I know there are more things to consider. HTH!
