December 2012 Moms

So uncomfortable all of a sudden

I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow, and I gotta say that December just can't seem to get here quick enough.

My first 2 pregnancies were easy-peasy.  I had no morning sickness, no food aversions, no discomfort, nada.  Heck, with them I didn't even start showing until I was 6 months preggo.  This pregnancy however, has not been easy-peasy.  My back hurts, I'm exhausted, my hips hurt and I wore flip flops to work all week.  I hate flip flops.  Seriously, I'm weird like that.  I live in my heels.  If they're shorter than 4", I ain't wearin' 'em.  But not anymore.

I keep trying to tell my self it's the heat but let's be honest, I'm indoors where it's nice and air conditioned.  Is anyone else just extremely uncomfortable?

Re: So uncomfortable all of a sudden

  • Oh yeah. I was a little sick with DS, this time I'm still dealing with it. I hurt all over, I am exhausted. That energy never came, I'm moody, I look like I did when I was 30w with DS, and can't fit into my normal shoes. I bought a pair of flats one size bigger for when I can't get by with flip flops any more.

  • I've gotten sick every single day since I was 7 weeks, So I definitely hear you with that one! And the last two days my hips have hurt SO bad. It doesnt matter if I'm sitting, standing or laying down, they're killing me! I'm also having tons of pressure and crazy leg cramps! This is my first child, and I honestly don't know If I'll have anymore because of how horrible this pregnancy has been so far. :( The ONLY enjoyable moments I've had in the last 21 weeks are anytime I feel her little kicks or hear her little heartbeat or when I seen her on ultrasound. :) Other than that I've been in so much pain! Hope things get better for you, and swollen feet suckk. My job I have to wear closed toe shoes, well....my feet swell up to the tops of them. It's great, not. Thanks for letting me vent a little ;)

  • Yes, my "bump" actually hurts. It's been feeling heavy for weeks, and then with the little car accident and trip to Emerg it's just been more tender (possibly in my head) and definitely a bigger worry.

I will be happy to deliver a happy and healthy baby. My first was a BREEZE. I feel like it's a sign telling me "this is the last kiddo!"

  • This is my first and between the throwing up, lack of sleep, bloating, constipation, hip and back pain, etc...I told DH this may just be our last. We'll see what I decide after the birth. Oye the things we go through to bring LO's into the world.

  • I know how you feel.  These two have been giving me the BLUES.  I have been camped out in bed for two days.

  • You are so preaching to the choir. I started showing at 3 months, I haven't stopped hurling and I sleep all the time, but it isn't a good sleep.

And like you, I am living in flip flops now. OH and I can't go back to work because I was put on a work restriction. It. SUCKS.
