So last Friday I went for the long gulcose test. What I didn't know is my doctor repeated other blood work too. I rec'd a call from her office and the secretary said that I needed to come in immediately. My husband met me there and we were told that I passed the second test though she is concerned with my numbers from the liver test and how high my blood pressure is. She let us know what could happened and thinks it could be cholestasis and on our way to HELLP. So right now our goal is to get to 37 weeks. She sent my over to the hospital for further testing and i was sent home with blood pressure meds. I go back on friday for further testing. My friend had the same thing and she has a healthy 3year old so I know there is a positive outcome which keeps me and my husband going. So until we know more I am keeping cool and focusing on the 37 week goal line

I got HELLP with DD. The only physical symptom I had was a really bad "stomach ache" (turns out it was my liver). From the time when I went in to L&D because of the stomach ache to the time when I delivered, just a little over 48 hours passed. It's really, really good that they caught it early, since one of the most dangerous things about HELLP is that it's often not caught early enough.
Honestly, there isn't a whole lot that can be done in the way of treatment if it is HELLP, but simply diagnosing it in time vastly improves your chances of a good outcome.
Do you know what your platelet count was or your liver numbers? I hope you're able to hold out for a while, and I'm glad that your doctor knows what's going on and will be watching you closely.
If things start going more in the direction of HELLP and you have any questions or need some support, feel free to PM me (page me, though, since I never check them otherwise).

The numbers are a blur to me though i know in one week they increased and one was in the hundreds. I guess my itchy feet where a sign though I thought they were just dry and tired. I am really happy my doctor found it early though unknow she is good which is why I asked for her. I will let u know if I have any questions as we go.. Just want Friday to come so we can get more answers

Normal liver counts (AST and I think the second is ALT) are below 34. Mine were at 130+ at the time of my c/s. Normal platelets are 150,000-350,000. If yours get between 150,000-100,000 that's called class III HELLP (the more mild kind), if they get down to 100k-50k then it's class II HELLP, and below 50k is class I HELLP and will most likely result in an emergency c/s. When I was admitted, mine were right around 150k, but within 48 hours they dropped to 93k. The drs said we *could* hold out another day, but at that point in the pregnancy, one day wouldn't make much difference and it could result in an emergency c/s under general, whereas if we did it that day (34w1d), it would be much more relaxed, I could have a spinal and be awake, etc. That's what I chose.
Definitely keep a close eye on your bp, and if you get any pain in your stomach area (above your bump), let your dr know asap or if it's the night or weekend, go to L&D.
