Anyone else not feeling anything?

I am 19 weeks and pretty sure I have not felt anything that definitively seems like baby, certainly nothing that I would characterize as "fluttering."  I know some women don't feel anything until 22 weeks and it doesn't mean anything is wrong, I'm just anxious!!

  • I haven't felt anything either. I'm also not showing at all and still wearing my regular clothes. I know she's in there, I just wish she would make an appearance in some way!

  • I was 18 weeks on Monday, and don't think that I've felt anything either.  Maybe what I've thought was gas is really baby, but I wouldn't bet on it.  Hopefully soon.

My dr said that my placenta is thicker between my stomach and the baby (some women its the opposite way, its like having blue or brown eyes) when its like this you do not feel as much until the baby gets stronger like 20-22 weeks.
  • I know our situations are a lot different (baking 2 instead of 1!), but I'm curious, do you drink a lot of water??  I've been able to feel baby B since week 15, but didn't start feeling baby A until week 18.  I feel them all the time now, but yesterday I didn't drink my usual 100+ oz of water and last night/this morning, they were both very still (which of course made me panic!)  I made sure I pushed the water extra hard today and have been enjoying their gymnastics routine for about an hour now. :)

Of course, it all could depend on where the placenta is (anterior vs posterior).  My dr said it might take awhile to feel baby if the placenta is anterior.  Also, I have a friend that didn't start to really feel her little guy until she was almost 21 weeks.

  • Nothing for me either. My bumb has been expanding like crazy but no movement that I can definitely attribute to baby.

  • I am a second time mom and I only feel it when I lay in a certain position very early in the morning or at night when I am in my bed.  I also have an anterior placenta and you might as well.

  • Nothing yet that fits the "fluttering" bill. I hit 18 weeks this Friday and am hoping I feel something before the a/s appt in 2 weeks.

  • This is kid 3 for me, and I just hit 18wks today. I've only felt a few flutters, of which I believe were the babe and NOT gas.

  • I am deffinately showing, and I feel flutters, but... Nothing that I would feel counts as a bump/kick.

  • Yah, I cannot distinguish between intestine action & any potential baby motion.  Have starting feeling more movement though.  Asked my dr about it last week (19 weeks), she didn't expect feeling anything for a few more weeks.

  • I'm 19 weeks and haven't really felt anything. I thought I did once last Saturday but nothing since, so maybe it was my imagination... My doctor said that my placenta is in the front so it will be harder/ take longer for me but she said I really should be feeling it by this week....
  • Nothing for me!  I also just found out that I have placenta anterior, so I may not feel anything for a few more weeks.  That baby's going to have to push its way through both the placenta and that extra layer of fluff I am sporting for me to feel anything.

I started to notice I felt more movement if I had a full bladder, so I've been drinking water like crazy so I can feel baby more often. Then I get so interested in the movement, I forget to pee. Still nothing from the outside, but I definitely feel baby from inside every few hours.

  • I never did feel those "Flutters" But at the end of 18 weeks is when i felt the baby start kicking. You will be able to feel your baby real soon.
  • I'm 18 weeks and have been worried that I havent felt the "flutters". This seems to be the standard question from everyone, and I really can't give a deff yes. I'm also not yet showing, although I am chubby - plus size before pregnancy :). Our time is coming...soon.
