IUI #1 was a bust.

With the spotting starting yesterday, I'm not surprised. But it's still pretty disappointing.

MH's numbers weren't very good, the whole sample was only .7ml, and the count was 2.4mil post-wash -- the RE said she prefers at least 5mil. But, to give us a little encouragement, she told us that's still a lot more sperm than have ever made it that far. Unfortunately, it seems like that wasn't enough.

Any suggestions on how to get the volume up? He said he's going to make sure to stay very well hydrated leading up to it, and make sure he gets a good night's sleep the night before. His last SA had so much more to work with! I think it may have been a little stage fright. Any advice?

Sorry IUI#1 was a bust. How many days did he abstain before the IUI? DH and I had sex the night of trigger for IUI#1 and had the IUI two days later. This past cycle we had sex the night before trigger and his count nearly doubled. Not sure if this is something that could be it for you or not.

Also my RE told me 3 million is what they look for so 2.4 million isn't bad by any means.
