I have only been charting two cycles, so I don't have a lot or comparison this time around. My last cycle only had a luteal phase of 8 days, so I was surprised when I got a + at 11 DPO this cycle. I'm currently 16 DPO and still getting a positive test. What I'm wondering is about short luteal phase and miscarriage. Everything be read says if you conceive with a short LP, there is a higher likelihood of early miscarriage. What I'm confused about is the term early miscarriage. In this case, does that mean like a chemical pregnancy or sometime in the next few weeks? Since I was only charting for two cycles, I have no idea if my 8 day LP was a fluke or f all my LPs have been short since my period returned in December. Just trying to figure out the terminology bc a lot of articles sound very ominous regarding conception after a
Short LP.

Re: Pregnant after short luteal phase?
I don't have any input for you, but I was wondering whereabouts you were. I saw your BFP on TTGP (yay!), but then you never really appeared here.
Do you have a dr's appt yet? Can they do betas to help you determine how things are going? FX for you.
BFP#1 "Watermelon" born 3/2011
BFP#2 "Pumpkin" 7/14/12 ~ EDD 3/23/13 ~ Natural M/C 8/3/12 @ 7 weeks
BFP#3 "Pineapple" born 4/2013
BFP#4 "Grapefruit" EDD 3/29/16
I only had a 9 day LP when charting with DD (3 cycles), so I knew on the 10th day when I didn't see spotting that I had a chance.
I did have red spotting both with DD and this pregnancy around 6/7 wks, but both have been healthy pregnancies.
Good luck!
