blooming boosms! (short rant)

ok, went to get dressed and I swear in the last day the boobs now require a new bra (feels like there is NO space!).  And I just got this one a month ago & yesterday it seemed fine!  Argh!

  • I'm in the same situation.  Apparently I'm going bra shopping this weekend.  Just bought my current ones about a month ago.

  • I know!  Mine have already doubled in size (and I was a D cup to begin with!) - literally no local store sells bras my size, or the next size down, and I don't want to spend $40-60 on an untried bra that may only last for a month or so.  :(

  • You guys can go to motherhood maternity to get good nursing bras. They actually have pretty large sizes. Before I got pregnant I was at a high C cup and now (on my third baby) I have size E cup bras. And they're still going to get bigger after my milk comes in.

If you're totally busting out and it's uncomfortable, get a cup size too big or the band size one bigger and go shopping again after your milk comes in. Otherwise, wait until after the baby comes and get the size you are with the milk.

    Luck.

  • Their bras usually go for around $25 each and they usually have a buy 3 get one free deal.

I like the sleeping bras. No cups and it opens to breast feed at night in bed.

I had to go to a Nordstrom but yes, $46 to $75+ was the price range.  If it was something not so personal (like a sweatshirt) I'd suggest a bra exchange program, but that isn't the case here.

Wahoo! N's anniversary sale (that includes bras) is through Aug 6 ... says $42.90  for a bra that i paid $65 for last month... (luckily I was smart enough to not take off the tags and use both bras that I had bought.  Since I only used one, can return the other and get a newly re-fitted, sale priced one instead!)  The fitter was great and spent time finding one that fit right. Nordstrom's has hard to find band/cup sizes like 32G (4D's), 34H (5D's) if that's a concern.  My only hope is the band size increases so it's easier to find options!

If you're looking for something like 32DD or 34DDD, can be found at Macys or the Bali/Hanes' Outlet stores (Bali has a nice bra that comes in these two mentioned sizes & minimizes ... has underwire though)

thanks.... Looked there last month, just like everywhere else, the designers don't seem to think that band sizes of 34 or 32 have anything beyond E for cup size.  Have been contemplating & hoping have expanded to 36 .... or I am just going to have to shell out the big money maybe start buying nursing bras with the hope of as they shrink towards the end of nursing I can size down with ones I already bought.

  • The local Motherhood store stops at E cup.  What kind of maternity store stops at E cups?
