I'm doing sugar plum for my little girl. Fell in love with the bedding set at BRU and they have a ton of stuff to go with it. Can't wait to start doing the nursery!!
We did a nautical theme for DS, I loooove all things nautical.
We just found out that #2 is a girl! I am not sure if we will do a theme or just girly colors. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I can choose girl things lol.

We had a horrible time coming up with ideas for our boys nursery but ended up going with "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" from PBK. We took the book to Home Depot and color matched the polka dots on the inside cover and painted 96 polka dots (4 each of 24 colors) onto white walls. We painted the ceiling a sky blue. I am in LOVE with how it turned out and already the babies love to look at the bright colored dots all over the walls. From PBK we ordered the crib sheets, crib skirt, canvas caterpillar picture, the ceramic wastebasket from the bathroom collection that matches, and a toss pillow cover with the caterpillar on it. I got decals from Target that are the caterpillar and all the food he eats through along with a large butterfly.
We've done airplanes with red, blue (bedding and curtains), and tan (walls) as our central colors. A lot of the artwork was MH's from when he was a child though some of it, like the American roundel on an olive green field and the starburst rug, I painted myself.
We're doing pink/white/gray. I'm using Dwell Zinnia for the sheets/blankets and will paint the walls bright pink and gray. This is my second girl and my first time using any pink, so I'm excited

Eh, themes are pretty tacky IMO. We just went with colors: dark red, yellow, and coral with lots of white. She has floral curtains that I made with these colors, that was the jumping off point.

We've only recently gotten the house we wanted, so we're only now starting to think about nurseries. I have no idea what theme I'll do, or if I'll even do a theme. We know we're going to go gender neutral. I just don't get the overmasculinization and overfeminization of babies. We're probably going to go with yellow and green because they're both colors we both love and colors that are easily gender neutral. I want it to be cheerful above everything else.
We are doing a Beatrix Potter theme and are having to get very creative because there's not much out there.
Us too! Ebay is your friend! I have bought a cute quilt, wedgewood lamp (we refitted it with a new lamp kit), Pottery Barn basket liners etc. I love beatix potter!

I bought the gorgeous set from PBK for my son when he was born, barely used because the bumpers scared the crap out of me when i read a bunch of horrible stories about them and the comforter was "too pretty" to lay on the floor. Next time i'm going much more practical! Hoping i can sell this puppy before the next nursery i would re-use it but i love change lol

We did a nautical theme for DS and I still love it so much.
For new baby I think I am going to do grey and yellow as the colors. PBK's has an adorable grey and yellow elephant nursery right now. I fell in love!
Similar here with grey/white/lime and a bit of purple (gender neutral).
