And I thought I wouldn't have to buy baby clothes - ha!

My 2-month old, 85th-percentile-for-everything baby has officially outgrown all of her 0-3 month/3 month size clothing and is fitting quite comfortably in 6 month size clothing. Argh!

I might as well put away all of her 6 month size fleece sleepers in hopes that maybe my next kiddo can wear them- she'll outgrow them before the average temperature outside gets below 90.

  • My baby is in the 90s percentiles for everything. She has enough clothes to last her til she's 2. And I hope they last her til she's 2! So far she's still wearing 0-3 sizes.

  • Mine is comfortably in 3-6 month clothes... A few 0-3 dresses still fit...

A good rule of thumb for here on out is to buy a size bigger than they actual are. Example I am buying 6-9 month, 9m (carters), and some 12 month for this winter and my DD will only be 4 months in September. Its always better for things to be big. However, I am running out of summer clothes as well. I feel like I put the same stuff on her every day. A onesie. onesie. onesie. Sometimes, we play dress up but the most realistic thing is a onesie.
  • I am in the same boat.  My wonderful mom bought DS a bunch of 6 month clothes and some are more for Fall.  He is wearing 6 month summer clothes now, comfortably!  He will be 12 weeks in a couple days.  I guess we got some chunky babies!

I do the same thing most days.  Onesies are always a good option when it's so hot and on you can buy a pack of 5 for like $10 from Target!  They even come in nice colors.

  • Wow. I always hate moving up sizes it makes me sad. I think Elise is just about to the point where I need to move to the size 3-6 month stuff, but the 0-3 will work for another week or two. Actually it's only the sleepers that are getting a bit short, everything else is fine.
  • Those with girls....dont put those cute dresses away. I have learned from other moms of girls that the dresses make perfect shirts with pants and leggings. Double duty for this cute, adorable dresses!

This and I am going to put long sleeved shirts under some of the sleeveless ones that are too big now that will fit when it is cooler.

  • Just an fyi, when something says it's a size 6 months, it's actually size 3-6 months.  All of Carters stuff is sized like that, so she is not all that far off from her age size! :)

This is what I was going to say exactly!!! Plus Carter's is long and thin so if your baby is chuncky it might not be the best brand for you.

  • Have you checked out a consignment store lately?  All the ones around me (Once Upon a Child) are clearancing out their summer inventory. I got loads of nice stuff---for both this year and next---for $1 apiece. For those prices I really don't care much if some of the stuff never gets worn.
