Appt update/anyone do the 24 hour urine test?

I had my 12 week OB appt and everything is looking great!  My doctor had a med student with him, and I was her guinea pig for doing her first doppler reading!  It took her a little while, but the heartbeat was heard loud and clear, yea!

Also had an internal where they talked a lot about the color of my cervix.  Tongue Tied

I had pre-e with #1 so they are making me do a 24 hour urine collection at home tomorrow to get baseline measurements at the beginning of pregnancy.  Should be interesting....still hoping like crazy that I manage to avoid pre-e this time around. 

NT scan up next on Friday!

    Congrats on the great appointment! I have my 12w appointment on Friday and NT scan on Monday.  Best of luck on your scan!

    Didn't they have you do the 24-hour collection when you had pre-e? If so, it's the same deal.

    I had pre-e/HELLP with DD, but I don't know if my doctor will have me do a 24 hour baseline catch. I wouldn't look forward to doing that at home. I had over 2 liters collected in the hospital with DD. When the nurse picked it up she was like, "Wow! You have healthy kidneys!" Embarrassed I would definitely not want to haul that much pee across town (I take public transportation or walk) to the OB...


    BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
    BFP2: 3/18/12, blighted ovum, natural m/c @ 7w4d
    BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence

     No, my pre-e developed pretty suddenly and once diagnosed, I was induced immediately. 

    I am lucky to be able to work from home fairly easily, so I will definitely be doing that tomorrow!!

    They did only give me one jug... I hope it's enough!

    I did it a few weeks ago and it was no big deal. I just did it on the weekend and stayed close to home. Got the results back and everything was good. Hoping the same for you. Good luck!
