My mom and H's mom are throwing me a shower together in the next couple weeks, I don't really know what etiquette is but I assume I should be getting them a little gift to say "thanks for throwing me the shower" right?
What did you get for your host? I have no clue! How much do you normally spend?
-Wine is out since only one of them really drinks.
Re: host gift?
You do not have to get them a gift! A nice thank you is really the only necessary thing.
However, hostess gifts are customary in my circle, so I gave mine gift cards to get mani/pedis because they are both reallllly into that stuff.
I have also gotten those harry and david baskets, Body shop products, a cheese tray with a spread, jewelry, and flowers.
Thanks! A little gift basket might be the way to go then, just as a little gesture of thanks.
A group of ladies are throwing my wife's shower so we are getting them all MAC gift cards and the gift cards all come in a compact, so it's a little something extra.
You don't have to get a gift, but I think it's the best thing to do. Planning a shower is a lot of work. Gift cards allow folks to have a little fun and it's not too much work on you since you are pregnant.
