I'm 5 wks 6 days and went to the dr yesterday due to light spotting. I noticed a light peachy/brown when I wiped and of course panicked and cried. I went to the Dr and they did an ultrasound and all looks good. I'd never thought I'd be so excited to see a little grainy blob on a screen..lol. She said it may be due to the placenta estabishing its blood supply and as long as it's not heavy or painful I should be fine.
Apparently I tend to spot a lot. I spotted for 5 days (I thought it was a period) during implantation. I'm hoping it's just normal for me, but it's still nerve wrecking. It's my first pregnancy, and after meeting with the fertility Dr on Monday to look into starting rounds of clomid I found out the next day I was already pregnant. lol..I had no idea I was looking for help getting pregnant and already had a bun in the oven. ![]()
Anyone else having/had spotting?
Re: Anyone else having light spotting?
I'm right with you and, of course, freaking out. I had some last week that was light in color and managed to calm myself. But now I am having more this week, brighter in color, and I'm a mess again. I've been working with an RE, so I've had an ultrasound on the calender for a bit. It's scheduled for Thursday. They just flat out wouldn't do one earlier than that even with my spotting concerns. It's been really frustrating.
I'm also on Progesterone suppositories so it's hard to even trust what my body is telling me. Plus it makes everything "Down there" a little more confusing and complicated.
Anyway, I'm sorry you're going through this and stressed out. But I'm right there with you! Glad you were able to have an ultrasound to give you a bit of peace of mind.

I am on progesterone suppositiories too. I had pink spotting last week. The nurse told me that it was scary but no big deal. I had an ultrasound on Friday. There was one perfect little baby. The applicator was causing irritation to my cervix. I changed the position I use during insertion and no more spotting.
Sorry to hijack for a second, but you have an applicator?? Never offered to me. I seriously hate my RE and his office and cannot WAIT to be done with them!
Thanks to all you guys for helping to calm my nerves a little bit. Once again ...

With my IUI's I had a pill and no applicator. This time I have endometrium. It is about the size of an alka seltzer. The applicator looks like the one that comes with monostat. It comes with the tabs. In one way I can't wait to be done with the progesterone and in another way I am terrified to stop taking it.
THIS. Exactly.
