Thoughts on the name Charles Wallace please...

It's a very meaningful name for us. Charles is my Dad and Wallace is DH's grandfathers brother.  SS has DH's grandfathers name for his middle name.  Our nickname for Charles will be Chase since there is already a Charley in our family. I want to just call him Charles but DH thinks it feels too formal for a baby so we have the nickname ready.

2006 start TTC

2007 Start w/ RE (Endo and MFI previous marriage)/ 2008 Vericocele surgery/3 clomid cycles
2009 Lap removed stage III endo/ 2 failed IUI/ Divorce

2011 Remarried
October 2011 Dx: Endo & DOR/ November 2011- clomid & TI cycle
January 2012 IVF~  Flare protocol 10 ER/ 9 mature fertilized with ICSI/ ET- 2 Grade A Blasts/ 4 frozen= BFN
Febuary 2012- -Endo Biopsy/  MTHFR diagnosis
March 8- FET 2 grade A blasts= BFP!!!!

November 2012-  Charles was born by emergency C-Section

Dealing with:
Stage III Endo/ DOR/ MTHFR two mutations C677T & A1298C

Currently TTC #2  FET planned January 2014

    It's the name of one of the main characters in A Wrinkle in Time.  I doubt many people will think of that though.  I think it's a great name, but I'm not a fan of Chase.

    I think Chase is a good nn for Charles. 

    I knew Charles Wallace sounded familiar, though! A Wrinkle in Time, that's right.

    We call our son Charles, mostly, and it totally suits him.  He also goes by Charlie and that's okay too.   We've always gotten tons of compliments on the name.

    I'm not liking Chase as a nn, however.  To me, it's a trendy name that is a stand-alone.  You could go with Chaz or, God forbid, Chuck.  Not a fan of those, either.

    DS is Charles (nn Charlie), but our dog's name is Wallace, so your name made me chuckle. I don't like Chase as a NN for Charles, as it is a pretty common stand-alone name.

    Wrinkle in Time immediately popped in my head.  I'm not sure those younger than Gen X are familiar with the book.

    I thought of A Wrinkle in Time right away...but I don't think it's a huge deal...unless you actually call him Charles Wallace, then you'll look like FANS.
