prenatal

I have been taking the One a Day prenatal with the additional DHA/EPA liquid gel.  Lately I have been having a more difficult time getting these things down, especially the liquid gel.  Last night I almost threw up trying to swallow these things.  Does anyone have any recommendations for prenatal vitamins they like that are easier to swallow.

Thank you

  • Gummy prenatals or 2 Flintstone chewables.

  • I second the gummies and chewables. Also, taking them right before bed can help.

  • FoR me the rainbow lite petite prenatals are easy to swallow and I have a hard time with others.
  • Walgreen Gummy -- and I have them with food (much better)

  • I think the Target prenatal gummies are pretty good tasting. Almost like a fruit snack. Lately I've been eating them with food, just in case it upsets my stomach, but I haven't had any problems yet.
  • With my last pg I was able to get a liquid vitamin called Vitafol.  I'll warn you though, it was not inexpensive.

  • I almost puked the Gummies today, had to spit them out. UGH. I doubt pills will be easier.

  • I second the Rainbow Light Petite Prenatal.  Only downside is that since they are smaller, you have to take 3 a day.  But they are extremely easy to swallow and have not bothered my stomach at all.  I just take them with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • I've been taking the Flintstone Complete chewables.  As they have 400 mg of Folic Acid my Dr. said to just take two every day.  Lately they haven't tasted great but I've been trying to eat with them to hide the taste.  I had to swallow some meds last night and had a super hard time keeping them down.

  • Try taking then at a different time of day. I found I couldn't take them at night without getting sick, but along them first thing in the morning with some crackers was fine.

  • I switched to a gummy from Aldi plus a folic acid pill that's really small (800mg). I picked that one because it had zinc and iodine in addition to all the standard vitamins and minerals.
