So...at my 18 week ultrasound last week the baby was all curled up, face down and refused to move. The tech tried all sorts of things to get it to change positions but this little guy/girl is already very stubborn apparently. Eventually it did move a bit but ended up turning butt up, head down and curled up even more.
Tomorrow is our second try and I'm having mixed emotions about it. I don't want to be disappointed again after being so excited for the first one. I'm also starting to wonder if we should take it as a sign and not find out the baby's sex until I deliver. My thought is if the baby has turned and we can easily tell what it is then we will find out. If it is still in a bad position then we will wait until the big day...regardless of any more ultrasounds.
I guess I'm just getting nervous and needed to share. : ) Hope everyone is doing well today!
Re: Mixed Emotions
Crazy!!! My friend just said this same exact thing on FB like 5 minutes ago!!! I need to go buy some candy now! I've got the OJ already!
Oh, yeah. At our nt scan, the tech had me drink juice, too, and the baby started moving ever so slightly, but enough so she could get a good measurement.
Good luck!
I apparently missed the memo that I shouldn't have my one allowed cup of coffee in the morning before my NT scan. S/he was rocking and rolling around, and wouldn't sit still. Lol.
We did my A/S during one of her awake times and she was super-busy, much to the U/S tech's annoyance. It was difficult to get all the measurements, and I didn't drink any caffeine or eat any sugar before hand.
Either way, good luck! The A/S was so much fun, even before they told us the sex.
