My 2-month old, 85th-percentile-for-everything baby has officially outgrown all of her 0-3 month/3 month size clothing and is fitting quite comfortably in 6 month size clothing. Argh!
I might as well put away all of her 6 month size fleece sleepers in hopes that maybe my next kiddo can wear them- she'll outgrow them before the average temperature outside gets below 90.
Re: And I thought I wouldn't have to buy baby clothes - ha!
A good rule of thumb for here on out is to buy a size bigger than they actual are. Example I am buying 6-9 month, 9m (carters), and some 12 month for this winter and my DD will only be 4 months in September. Its always better for things to be big. However, I am running out of summer clothes as well. I feel like I put the same stuff on her every day. A onesie. onesie. onesie. Sometimes, we play dress up but the most realistic thing is a onesie.
I do the same thing most days. Onesies are always a good option when it's so hot and on you can buy a pack of 5 for like $10 from Target! They even come in nice colors.

This and I am going to put long sleeved shirts under some of the sleeveless ones that are too big now that will fit when it is cooler.

Just an fyi, when something says it's a size 6 months, it's actually size 3-6 months. All of Carters stuff is sized like that, so she is not all that far off from her age size!
This is what I was going to say exactly!!! Plus Carter's is long and thin so if your baby is chuncky it might not be the best brand for you.
Have you checked out a consignment store lately? All the ones around me (Once Upon a Child) are clearancing out their summer inventory. I got loads of nice stuff---for both this year and next---for $1 apiece. For those prices I really don't care much if some of the stuff never gets worn.
