My poor kid wakes up in a puddle every single morning!
I have tired sizing up and switching brands. I have tried overnight diapers and regular ones. We have even tried changing him in the middle of the night when he gets up to eat. That just causes him to be wide awake and have a hard time falling back to sleep and he still woke up for the day wet!
Is there ANYTHING you can recommend? Cloth? Diaper inserts? 2 diapers? Backwards diaper?
we have used pampers size 3 and 4 and huggies 3 and 4. LO wears size 3 during the day
*UPDATE*
Last night I tried the backwards diaper. Big. Fat. Fail. I checked on him at midnight and he was SOAKED. His lovey was under him and it was soaked too. We have to change him and the sheets and get him back to sleep without his lovey. Totally fun night.
We are going to try the 2 diapers trick tonight and if it doesn't work I'm ordering cloth and overnight shipping them.
Thanks for the advice.
Re: Nighttime leaks!! ugh *UPDATE*
Have you tried the huggies overnights sized up? I had the same problem with all pampers which is what he does fine in during the day. But these have worked great at night.
Also my aunt also said when I was having problems at night with leaks and this may seem weird... but she said back in the day she would put a pad inside the diaper at night for extra absorbency. Hope you find something that works!
If I had my way we would TOTALLY do cloth all the time (DH and MIL still think they are the old fashioned kind with pins. MIL watches him during the day so I need her to be on board).
I was googling and also came across the Kawaii goodnights. Do you know where is the best place to order them?

Yes. It's even still pointing down when I remove the diaper!

When I ordered them, I found the best prices at thanksmama.com - I think they're $10.95 each. We use the Hemp Babies hemp inserts but we bought those locally, I think they were $3 or $4 each. The good news is if they don't end up working, you can always sell them and get your money back!
I got my Kawaii diapers from Kelly's Closet, but there are a lot of places that carry that brand. I have used them at night occasionally and they have worked well, but they aren't my favorite diapers in general so I save them for emergencies. (I'm definitely in the minority there - most people love them).
Personally for nighttime I use a Bum Genius 4.0 aplix pocket stuffed with their microfiber insert and 2 hemp doublers (usually 1 babykicks and 1 hemp babies). It's been working really well for DS.
Cloth cloth cloth! We were having terrible leaks a few days a week in disposables. Since switching to CDs we have not had an overnight leak in over 2 months!
We use BumGenius with the 2 inserts that come with the dipe.

Before we switched to cloth, I was using an overnight diaper and adding one of these: LINK It worked like a dream.
With cloth, we use a BG 4.0, a regular insert and a Thirsties hemp and cinch the top of that diaper as tight as we can get it.
