Pelvic Pain???***Udate***

Good Morning ladies! A question about pelvic pain here...I got my 2nd AF since my D & C yesterday after a short 20 day cylce.  I had pretty bad cramps yesterday so I spent most of the day drinking water and using my heating pad.  I went to bed around 11 pm and when I got into bed I had a very acute, shooting pain running from my pelvis to my butt.  It lasted about 15-20 seconds.  After it went away I was left with sort of an uncomfortable, gassy feeling.  This acute pain came back all throughout the night, waking me about 6 times and actually making me cry out in pain.  I tried going to the bathroom (I didn't have to go) and passing gas (it didn't help).  The feeling is still there this morning and I've had the acute, shooting pain twice since I woke up at 8:15, it even hurts and is uncomfortable to sit straight up in a hard chair.  Has anyone experienced something similar to this?  Should I call my doctor?  If so, should I call my OB or my general doctor, I'm leaning toward my OB since the symptoms arrived with my AF? Thanks...

    Since it's your 2nd AF since D&C I'm willing to bet it's not directly related to that, but unfortunately may be a new normal.  What you're describing sounds like the worst gas pain ever, which I do see an increase myself when I start a new cycle.  I would take ibuprofen and continue with drinking water.  If you're really concerned though, I would call your OBGYN and leave a message.  I hope you feel better soon!

    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.

    Well, the doctor sent me to the ER for an ultra sound and after 4 hours of being there they determined that I have a very painful, but probably harmless cyst on my left ovary.  On a brighter note, the ultrasound tech pointed out all of the maturing follicles on my ovaries which was pretty cool to see!  I'm still in pain, but not really worried about it anymore.  He said they can remove it if the pain doesn't go away on it's own in a few days.  At least I know what the problem was!

    Lindsay,

    I just saw this now as I've been away for the weekend!! I hope the pain has subsided, please keep us posted how you're doing. I had a cyst on my ovary which was removed three years ago and it was the worst pain I have ever experienced;( It started when I was in Costa Rica on holiday and when I returned a week later I had to have laparoscopic surgery to have it removed.

    Oh man so sorry you have to deal with this on top of dealing with your mc and ttc again .

    Keep us posted ok?! Here's to hoping the cyst is small and the pain goes away pronto!

    Lees...thanks for the kind words, I'm feeling better today, I felt better just knowing what the problem was.  I agree with you though...terrible pain, I could hardly believe something so small could cause pain like that, ouch!
