This weekend we went to my brothers wedding out of town. My extended family and everyone was there. I got a lot of compliments on my bump and I even got this cute little outfit from my aunt. Then, during dinner (with the WHOLE family) when my brother asked when we'd find out the sex, my new sister in law bursts out, "You don't look pregnant, you just look like you got a big beer gut now." My cousins and aunts laughed (like they couldn't believe she said it) then told me I looked cute. She then proceeded to say, "Well, It's the truth!" I bit my lip and looked at my husband, who calmed me down. I didn't want to go white trash on her in front of everyone the day before her wedding. Pretending everything was fine on her and my brothers wedding day was extremely difficult. I've only met this girl three or four times and she is ridiculously rude. Like "Keep your head up" when I told her I was pregnant and "Again?!" when I got pregnant after my miscarriage. Blah! Just wanted to hear what y'all think and def needed to get that off my chest.
Re: AW: Held up vent! People are rude.
That was pretty lame of her to blurt out, but it sounds like she made herself look ridiculous on the day before her own wedding, especially if the rest of the family laughed awkwardly. Sounds like she is lacking an internal filter.
I'm sure your bump is cute!

Was this at the rehersal dinner? It sounds like this girl might be jealous that you're getting attention during "her special event". Hopefully she mellows out after the wedding, but if not you said that you've only seen her 4 times. I wouldn't worry about it.
She sounds like she needs to get off her high horse. Trip her when she is coming down the aisle
How rude.
This is exactly what I was thinking. She sounds like a spoiled brat.

I like this idea.
I'm sorry she was so rude to you! I agree with PPs though, it sounds like she was just being jealous of the attention you were getting. No excuse for being an a** though.
I would remember this when she is just about 17weeks with her first baby.
