Not many symptoms-anyone else?

Hi ladies,

So I'm 5 1/2 weeks along and haven't had many symptoms. A little fatigue and breast tenderness is about all. I feel pretty good but it's a little unnerving.  I had the doctor's office bump up my first appt to next week just to have some confirmation other than the HPT.  I will be 6 1/2 weeks for my appointment so hope to see the reassuring little blip on the screen.  Anyone else suffering from "feeling about the same" anxiety?

  • I didn't get many symptoms until about 8 weeks, before that I was just really really tired.

First of all...I wouldn't complain about not having symptoms.  There are a lot of ladies on here that would love to be able to say that.  (read the newbie post about this).  Also, symptoms don't always start as soon as you know you're pregnant.  Some people get them at 3 weeks, some at 6, some at 12, and some who are lucky don't get any at all.  It just depends on the person.  It doesn't mean you aren't pregnant.  Be happy that you are feeling great!  I hope it keeps up for you!

I am also grateful that i feel okay, but the no-symptoms thing makes me feel... like I'm not pregnant!  So I get it!

I am having bloodwork done today and Thursday, however, so hopefully that will set my mind at ease . I don't have my first appt until 8/23.

  • I haven't really had symptoms other than the sore boobs and being more tired than usual.  I saw the baby's hb at 6w4d and my pregnancy has progressed beautifully to this point.  Pregnancy impacts every woman differently and you may be one of the lucky ones that just doesn't have many symptoms.  That said, you are still very early and most people's symptoms kick in around 7 weeks, so you very well may be getting some m/s in the future.

  • You are still pretty early. I actually don't have hardly any symptoms either except the tiredness.  Morning sickness comes in the second month roughly if you even get it. And remember, just because you didn't get symptoms with this pregnancy does not mean all of the will be the same. They are all different or could be anyway.

  • Yep! We saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks and my next appt. isn't until the 31st. I had symptoms up until week seven, then nothing at all. That is where I"m at now and I am a nervous wreck. 7 more days! Praying everything is going well.
  • Thanks for all the feedback ladies! Good to know I"m not the only one.

  • Hi,

I am 8 weeks along today and can understand how you are feeling. I feel very blessed that I have not be sick yet and hope it stays that way! I have had some breast tenderness, sleepiness and my pants feel tight around my hips. My first doctor's appointment is next week and I am very anxious to make sure everything is going okay. Don't worry if you are not feeling nauseated... be thankful!

  • i haven't had any ms up to this point, only an indigestion type feeling that comes and goes... i try not to say too much about the fact that i'm not sick because i know it could hit like a ton of bricks at any time!  i'll count my blessings and take the extrememly sore boobs and indigestion!

i actually read in "what to expect when you're expecting" (a must buy by the way) that 25% of women/pregnancies don't get morning sickness.  obviously if you're part of that lucky 25%, i wouldn't brag too often to the other 75% who would kill to be in your shoes :)
