i was wondering the same thing but she is only two weeks but she has some really good control of holding her head. definitely not all the way yet but really good.
I do short amounts of time with DS. He is almost 7 weeks old and he has good head control. I don't leave him in it for very long ...I'm afraid he will get tired!
my daughter is 7 weeks old and I put her in it and sit with her (within arms reach) she likes it and is starting to have decent neck control. I tell her she is practicing her big girl chair! I let her sit in it until she gets tired of it
I've used it in very short increments but even though he has fairly good head control I don't feel comfortable leaving him in it for more than a few minutes at a time yet
DD is 7 weeks old and has pretty good head control, but I'm more worried about her back - is it OK for babies under (or not super close to) 3 months to be in a sitting position for extended periods of time?
ETA - I'm a FTM, so I really am wondering (not trying to be sarcastic or point anything out).

It's not only neck control for the reason they say to wait till four months old, it is also for their spine and sitting like that isnt good for the spine when it hasnt matured enough to be in that position.
The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.

This is what I have read as well. It's ok to put them in the chair, but still slightly support their head
