This is what I have felt for a long time. It does not bother me that A wakes a couple times a night--it only bothered me that other people said it was a problem.
Awwww! DS was great getting himself to sleep without crying for months. Now he can't do it himself and I inevitably end up going in there a rocking him because I can't take him crying. (I try the 5 then 10 then 15 minutes, then he ends up hysterical so I rock him.) I keep thinking I'm making the "bad habit" come back. But I love how he sighs when I pick him up and instantly relaxes.

Such a sweet article. Brought a tear to my eye. But all I could feel was jealous of the way she described rocking her baby to sleep. We never had such a beautiful falling asleep relationship after 3 months old. Ours was more screaming and resisting which is why we ended up sleep training with check ins. Nowadays I relish the times when he falls asleep drinking his bedtime bottle. I sometimes just snuggle on him for way longer than necessary.
