When my DS was born we did the newborn pics in the hospital. They were cute, but this time around (with a girl on the way) I really want to do the cute baby professional pics somewhere. The poses, the props, etc.
The problem is that I wanted to do Christmas pictures this year with my DS and DD, and a family shot but I don't know if that's too many professional pics too close together. So I'm debating on which one I should do.
What are you doing (if any!)?
Thanks!
Re: Newborn pics or Christmas pics? Or Both?
This is a good idea. We'll do both because my photographer does a "cheap" xmas special every year. Christmas pics will just be DS and DD. We'll have a family portrait taken at the newborn pics and then probably not again until next fall.

My DH doesn't want to pay for professional pictures (I think I can squeeze in a few professional maternity shots), so we'll do our own newborn & infant pictures most likely. Might try to wrangle a friend with skills & a good camera into helping.

I'm planning on taking some cute Christmas photos early November to use as both Christmas card AND the birth announcement. It's not that we couldn't do both, but DH is being a little scroogish at the moment and I'd rather spend a bit more on the nursery
Most of the other photos will probably go into scrapbooks (already bought the best books ever from www.suite1705.com) to give to each set of grandparents.

What on earth does having a girl on the way have to do with it? My DS is 13 months old and we've done professional pics three times with him.
Aaaaaanyways, this time around I'm not doing professional newborn pics, I'm saving my money for a nice, professional Christmas card pic of the family.
